ANNEXURE – I
Guidelines  For Continuous Internal Assessment.

1.The Internal assessment for each paper shall be by means of (a) Written Tests (b)Assignment (c) Seminars.

2.Twenty five marks allotted for Internal assessment may be disritbuted for written test, Assignment, Seminars and viva in the ratio of 10 : 5 : 5 : 5 respectively.

3.There shall be two model examination of 3 hour duration, one is mid semester and another one is end semester for each course conducted for 75 marks and then converted in to 10 marks.

4.Students will be given 5 assignments @ 1 mark each for 5 marks

5.There will be group seminars in each course for 5 marks to be assigned to individual students.  There will be a individual subject viva in each course for 5 marks.

6.Conduct of the various means internal assessment shall be responsibility of the faculty concerned.

7.The internal assessment marks are to be submitted to the director / HOD in the prescribed form.  The collected internal assessment will be consolidated by the Director / HOD and then will be sent to the controller of Examinations as per the schedule.


8.The Internal assessment marks obtained by the students will be informed to them to get feed back about their performance in time.

9.The valued answer papers / assignments should be given to the students after the valuation is over and they should be asked to checkup and satisfy themselves about the marks they have scored.  The answer papers / assignments should be collected from the students with their signature.



10.All mark lists and other records connected with the continuous jnternal assessment should be in the safe custody of the department for atleast six months after the assessment.

11.Internal Assessment : Appeals For Grievances

If complaints or representations are received regarding the assessment in any written test or assessment, the director / HOD shall call for the connected records and papers and if founds necessary, after getting the marks from the faculty concerned, arrange for a fresh assessment of the particuler testor assignment by the same / another faculty.  If the student still feels not satisfied he may represent his grievances to the college which shall constitute appeals committee to look into the matter within 10 days from the date of result.

12.Appeals committee : The appeals committee, whenever necessary shall be constituted by the principal.  The committee will consist of

(a)   Director and HOD of the Dept. of Management Studies.

(b)   An expert from other affiliated colleges of university to be nominated by the university.

The decision of the principal on the findings of appeals committee shall be fina.
