The Department of Mathematics started U.G. level courses in the year 1957, P.G. level courses in the year 1967 and M.Phil in 1983. We have got around 6500 books for Mathematics Department in General library. Also we subscribe to 12 international journals for Mathematics. We have completed 5 UGC research projects (Minor).

There are 13 staff in the Department, all with M.Phil., qualification and 4 with Ph.D. 3 have submitted their thesis and the rest have registered for Ph.D.

 Workshops once in a year during the month of February. This is being funded by CSIR, UGC, NBHM and Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology.

We have submitted 20 of papers for publications and presentations during the last two years. We are regularly
