The Department of Physics came into existence from the day in which the college started functioning in the year 1956. Post-Graduate course in Physics was started in the year 1972. The Department was granted recognition for conducting research leading to the degree of Ph.D., in Physics in the year 1975. M.Phil in Physics was introduced in the Department in the year 1982-83. A Post-Graduate Diploma course in Microprocessors and Computer hardware was started in the year 1994. So far the Department has produced 75 M.Phil.,’s |
